Battle time finalized

Post  Father General on Thu Jun 26, 2014 5:05 am

I have picked "Saturday, June 28, 2014 12:00 PM (Time zone: Pacific Time)" as final option(s) for the Doodle poll "The Lost Division - A glint of bayonets through the trees...."

Follow this link to open the poll:

Any news yet on which map is needed? If its a GCM one I'll fire it up to make sure its working.

Well, I was going to use a GCM map for the first battle, but the location of the battle changed as the players did the unexpected.

I suppose, no plan of kreigsspiel survives first contact with the players?

I am now leaning towards choosing one of the Gettysburg maps.

I plan to announce all that tonight, but I have to have some dialogue with the commanders first to determine what is actually happening on the field so I can set up the correct situation.

If we're using the 100 randoms mod then everyone will be using Small Couriers & Maps as Kevin hasn't made big minimaps for these yet.

Yes but what I meant is if in the case we use the random maps, the 100 randoms cover all the possibile selections or we need to install random maps 2,4,5,6,7 also.

Have the sides been drawn up yet? I just heard I was on the CSA side but wasn't aware until Major Byrd PM'd me just now.

As a floater you can play either side. The confusion comes from a cavalry commander named Digby on that side. But you don't have to play that at all.

Right. That may be where the confusion comes from. It may be a good idea to change that name!

Your brigade is in another part of the region.

You don't march corps altogether usually for logistical reasons, right?
