KS Napoleon Battle Sunday, Oct. 11th, 20:00BST, 15:00EST

As the French approach the Viliya Reka, cavalry patrols have noted an increase in encounters with Cossack bands. They scatter before they can be engaged so they are no obstacle to the march south. Their presence indicates that the Russian army cannot be too far away.
The hairy men have reported to the Russian commander that the enemy is advancing along a broad front. His task is to halt this advance and it will not be easy. He must assemble his troops on ground that will allow him to take the offensive, but he must also be able to defend against a strike by a rapidly moving column.
This player vs player 3 hour game will require everyone have have the usual 3 mods, KS Sprites 1.02, KS Supplemental Maps 1.09 and the KS Napoleon Mod 1.13. We will need a minimum of 6 players. More would be better.

Gentlemen,
I will not be able to make after all. The wife reminded me of a prior engagement. Sigh....
Thanks,

It seems that Waterloo multiplayer is getting less players everyday instead of the opposite. Or maybe yesterday was a bad day.

This weekend coming is going to be a battle from our Peninsular Campaign. Currently due to player availability I am leaning towards Saturday.
However this doesn't mean we won't also play a casual game on Sunday. And probably Friday as well!
Best to get a couple of our more casual games under your belt before you join a campaign game as results there can be critical for the wider context of the war.

I understand and agree with you about practicing a bit before joining a campaign battle, and I too understand the poing about the consequences of an amateur commander in such battle.
I will be looking forward to play the casual battles you mention, prior to requesting permission to join the campaign. Meanwhile, I will try to pound the AI from my saddle

You will be very welcome to join the campaign; either to just play in the battles or take a map command.
The campaign forum is here:

The map of the Iberian Peninsular and the rules are in the sticky 3rd post.

Thanks for the input, Mr. Digby.
I just have one question regarding the peninsular campaign. I can see that the campaign has been active from a couple of years now, and I presume the battles were held in a modded version of SOW: Gettysburg. However, am I correct assuming that since the launch of SOW: Waterloo this is the game that is currently being used?

We haven't decided, but it looks like we will be giving Waterloo a go based upon the poll. You should decide what side you want to play on and then maybe take a brigade command to get your feet wet this weekend. We've had a couple month hiatus so we are really just getting up and running again. It took me a week or so to catch up on all the various reports and events that had taken place last turn.....
You'll be fine.

Re: KS Napoleon Battle Sunday, Oct. 11th, 20:00BST, 15:00EST
Iriasthor - yes, we shall probably go with Waterloo although I don't yet know how many of the campaign players have got it yet. There may be a few battles we need to revert to the mod for Gettysburg if we are short of people. I am not going to set anything in stone, but play it by ear as we get to each battle.
We will have a co-op game this Wednesday (tomorrow) and probably another on Friday, both at 21:00h your time. If you make at least one of these there's no reason you could not command a brigade for the bigger game on Saturday.
