Face to face games at Little Gaddesdon for 2016

Post  Martin on Fri Dec 04, 2015 5:16 pm

We have an exceptionally varied schedule for the forthcoming year.  Hopefully something for every palette.

13 March – ECW (Martin)

A campaign game with occasional tactical battles.  For more on the game see this thread http://forum.kriegsspiel.org.uk/t1635-sunday-13th-march-ecw-k-spiel-at-little-gaddesden#17573

We need a minimum of 9 attendees for this one, so please complete the doodle

10 April – WW1 Naval (Steve P & John)

Operations planning and naval action in the North Sea in December 1914.

15 May – Zulu War (Paul)

British, Zulus, Boers, Gun-runners, missionaries vie for supremacy in Zululand.

SUMMER BREAK

Please note that we have switched the batting order for the first two games in our autumn schedule.  The September game will now be on the Eastern Front in 1943.

25 Sep – 1943/4 Eastern Front (Graham & Sean)

An operational (Divisional) game set in the Ukraine (Summer) with the Germans on the defensive taking knocks and the Soviets getting their act together.

23 Oct – Vietnam Long Range Penetration Ops (David)

More info and doodle to follow.

27 Nov – Vikings (Steve P)

More info and doodle to follow.

More details on individual games will be available in due course.  It was agreed that it would be a good idea for those running games to specify the minimum numbers needed for each game.  This might help to focus folks’ minds on the need to adjust their doodle entries if circumstances change and they can no longer make the game.

I have signed up for the September game, have no preference to which side or umpire.

Be good to see you there, Diggers. That makes 6 so far, I think.

Just a reminder that this game is in 3 weeks. I see we have 8 so far, but could fit more in.
