Dithering on the Danube

Being: – Paul's Napoleonic grand tactical campaign in the Danube theatre, 1809, using the prettiest Kriegsspiel map ever (and some pretty nice blocks, too, though I say it myself).

Where: Little Gaddesden Village Hall, 20 miles NW of London United Kingdom (from whence lifts may be available).

When: 19th March 2017  11am-4pm - prompt arrival necessary to secure a plum role!

Please DOODLE HERE should you be able to make the decision to attend [Ditherers be assured, I believe that the Doodle can be withdrawn if necessary :-)]

Splendid! A gentleman in Colorado wishes to know what opportunities for plunder will be available, before he orders his uniform. I understand he has a penchant for silver.

I'm more of a dabbler myself, so I'll be Dabbling on the Danube.

I'm thinking of something like this.

Too pedestrian? Embarassed

Heels too low. You need high heels if you are really going to cut a dash.

I've been wondering who pinched my dress-down uniform. After the blighter, Diggers!

Too bad he's not wearing heels. He may be too fast for you.

Hopefully

We currently have 7 signed-up for the March Napoleonic k/spiel, but could certainly fit more in.  If you're interested in any of our pre-summer games, please complete the doodles at the links below.

Post  Martin on Sun Feb 12, 2017 5:36 pm

We now have 10 signed-up for this game, but could still fit more in. The club AGM will follow the game.

Looks like 13 attendees at the moment. That's a very healthy turn-out.

We can still fit more in however Very Happy .

Hmm. We have two Grahams on the list, with different preferences listed. Which one is the real Graham C please? - assuming you have not double booked? scratch

There are 14 on the doodle now. That's the highest turn-out we've had in many a year.

It includes 2 Graham(s) though. Has he/they confirmed whether they are 'he' or 'they' yet?

We had a good turn-out for the 1809 game yesterday, and thanks to Paul for designing it.

Our next face-to-face k/spiel is Vikings!  Mayhem in 9th C England.  This will be on Sunday 7th May in Little Gaddesden.

Please use the doodle to express your interest, and preferred role.

I am sorry I missed it. I mixed up my dates Sad

Could the organisers or any of the players write a post-game report perhaps?

Perhaps Steve H is able to send me the photo(s) he took of the mapboard, so I can then attempt an illustrated AAR?
