Difference between the versions of 1862 and 1824

Hi everyone!

I am totally new to Kriegsspiel. I am thinking of purchasing a set of rules, so I want to know what ist actually the difference?

Briefly, the 1862 rules take account of the increased ranges for artillery and small-arms since von Reisswitz's day, and resultant changes in tactics.
