It will be a WW2 Platoon Level Game based in Normandy 1944.
Can cater for 2-3 players a side and an umpire per player for fast turns.

I have just added two new dates for August, post Olympics so hope this might widen the group / pool of players?

So far not looking good and we can not book hall based on the numbers shown so far.
It is a shame that some of the younger members can not take the time to put there preference on the Doodle, even if it is to say no to the dates shown and suggest on this thread dates when they could.

Well I have just added my name so it is looking better!
One problem may well be that I was not notified by email of this post, or others. Perhaps other members are in the same boat.
Not sure if I need to change my forum settings or if the admins need to do that.
Cheers,
Richard

I think the university crew have been distracted by exams. Still, it doesn't take long to fill in doodle, so have put the word out, am am hopeful that take-up for the summer game will receive a boost over the next few days

That did the trick with a couple of new updates..
Looks like 29th July might be best date.
Martin is there any chance of you asking Pauline if the Hall is available and putting in a Provisional Booking. I would need access from 10am to set up, AGM 11am and Game start 12 noon and say finish at 4.30pm? (Could be earlier if helps with booking? say 4pm?)

Actually, I've a feeling that I already booked the 29th as a precaution. Not sure. Let me check.

Hi Mark,
I will certainly come if around, and will play any role, but clearly don’t wish to commit myself in advance before my holiday dates are settled.
Same will apply at present to any other games taking place during the Summer.

Have just heard back from Paulette. We are indeed provisionally booked in on 29th July, so I will confirm that. No one booked in after us atm, but she is asking what time we expect to finish though.
She adds "Also our floor will just have been renovated during the week 23rd 28th July so you will need to admire it and cherish it no hobnail boots or route marches please. Just T.L.C."

OK can we make it 4.30pm as it gives us leeway to tidy up as it will take me some time to pack up...
