Yesterday battle replay, corps against corps, 1 confederate division for each of us: Pickett for Billy, McLaws for me and Hood for Suchet. THe result was a big massacre and a hard fought engagement. Suchet repelled a 3 to 1 assault, but his division was reduced to 2 regiments at the end. The AI tried to encircle us from south, but Billy took my place to north leaving me the possibility to free troops for defend at south and destroy a regulars brigade with short range canister shoots

This one was a real bloodbath. My division was ordered to deploy in the same area the Union army started from. Fortunately, Mitra and Suchet quickly came to my rescue. But the Union had the initiative and the room to maneuver. They made good use of it. Notice how they fixed Pickett and Mclaws in place and then kept pouring troops into our right. It was an excellent strategy. I still don't know how I managed to lose only 1 brigade, Armistead. Suchet's sacrifice of his division saved the battle.

Excellent stuff, gentlemen.

I'm glad to see that more folks are stepping-up to take divisional command. As Uncle Billly knows, I have a Transmississippi scenario waiting, which will require several players to do so.

More on that soon. I just need to coordinate with Neal so that we don't double-book dates. My feeling is that the campaign battles should take priority, but it will be nice to mix them up with other scenario games from time to time. It will also be a chance to shuffle some of the players between Union & Confederate.
