Kriegsspiel, St Albans, 26th April
Gentlemen, I am very happy to announce that we are planning an 1866 Austro-Prussian War game using the Koniggratz map for Sunday the 26th of April. It is our intention to start at 10.30 am, and for players to command a minimum of a Brigade each.
Anyone interested in attending may contact me via email at richardclarkerli@yahoo.co.uk.
We will be taking some photos of the event to go with an article for one of the premier hobby magazines (Battlegames), so wear your best frocks!

Re: Kriegsspiel, St Albans, 26th April
I will be there, hopefully with a couple of others.
Having a full day will make a nice change. It should also allow more flexibility in scenario design. You could say have more than one engagement, with the results of the first impacting the OOB and position of the second etc.
Can you post a few details on how Games Days are normally structured please Richard? I doubt that many on this forum will have been to one. Also, do we bring our own food & drink, or can we buy on-site or nearby?
Regards
Martin

Kriegsspiel Games Day Cancelled
It is with regret that I have to announce that this day is now cancelled until later in the year. Unfortunately the date we chose clashed with a Kriegsspiel event at Duxford which I feel obliged to attend. I w ill be emailing anyone who contacted me directly to let them know, and we will be posting a notice here when we can reschedule.
Apologies to all concerned, just an unfortunate case of bad timing!

Yes I can see the problem. It would have been a dilemma for some of your potential players too.
Were you thinking summer or autumn Richard? We traditionally have a break in our games schedule over summer as fewer people are around. We normally start games again in September, but nothing is set in stone.
